After almost a century of history, and six years of an extensive renovation, in November 2024, the Fairmont Breakers opened their doors in Long Beach, CA, bringing with it not only a luxury hotel, but two full service restaurants and three bars and lounges.

The space is absolutely breathtaking, somehow finding a way to weave vintage glamour into a sparkly new redesign. The offerings and amenities feel never-ending with multiple bars and restaurants to choose from, a third story pool, spa, meeting rooms, gym, and views of either the city or sea wherever you turn.

La Sala

Technically the lobby bar, La Sala offers everything from morning coffee and pastries, to afternoon snacks, to evening cocktails in an elegant lounge setting. Cozy up to the bar and look out at the street scenes from the window behind the bar, or take your drink into the lobby area to enjoy some people watching from comfy couches and chairs.

Alter Ego

Honoring the landmark hotel’s jazz tradition, Alter Ego is the Breaker’s lobby-level cocktail bar and lounge offering live jazz music Thursday-Saturday evenings. A bona fide cocktail lounge, this space feels moody, vibey, and vintage with the way it takes you back to a more glamorous and elegant time.

Nettuno

With its dramatic high ceilings and compelling gallery walls, Nettuno offers all day dining inspired by Italian home cooking. This space feels expansive and elegant and offers a private dining room in the back should you require extra space or a different environment.

A revamped take on the iconic Sky Room that originated in 1938, this restaurant and bar offers elegant cuisine, cocktails and wine with a bird’s eye view of Long Beach as a backdrop. With large, plush booths, intricate lighting throughout, and bathrooms with a view of the city, this spot is ideal for a night of elevated and gorgeous dining if you’re wanting a special experience while visiting.

Halo

A stunning and intimate space mixing new and old design elements. Halo is a rooftop lounge that provides beverages with 360 degree views of the city and the sea. The bar features unique art, timeless arches and columns framing the floor-to-ceiling windows on either site of the bar, and a large outdoor patio for when the weather invites you to enjoy your beverage outside with a breeze.
